Vacancy for Class Teacher

We are seeking to recruit an excellent Foundation Stage or KS1 Class Teacher from September 2024. 

  • Grade: Main Scale 1 – Upper Scale 3 depending on experience
  • Salary Range: £30,000 - £46,525
  • Contract: Full time, fixed term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
  • Closing Date: Sunday 28h April
  • Interview Date: Thursday 2nd May and Friday 3rd May 2024

We are looking for a talented and inspirational  Class Teacher who has the vision and ability to make a difference to our children.

For the right candidate, there will be the opportunity to take on additional roles such as Core/Foundation Subject Leader and/or Year Leader.

Fairisle Infant and Nursery School is a three-form entry school with a separate Nursery building on site.  We are part of the Bridge Education Trust Southampton.

Vacancy for Teaching Assistants

 

We are seeking to recruit excellent Teaching Assistants to join our Inclusion Team, starting in April 2024 or September 2024.

  • Working times: 8.45am – 3.15pm Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, term time only
  • Grade: Grade 6, Scale Point 12 -17, depending on experience
  • Full time equivalent salary range: £26,609 - £28,770
  • Actual salary range, based on term time only hours worked: £18,463 - £20,590
  • Contract: Fixed term, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
  • Closing Date: Sunday 14th April
  • Interview Date: Wednesday 17th April 2024

 

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and approachable Teaching Assistants to join our expanding Inclusion Team. The Team supports children with complex SEND and social and emotional needs across the School and Nursery. 

We have opportunities starting from April and September 2024. The ideal candidate will have at least an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Education and experience of working with children aged from 2 years to 7 years old.

  • Delivering intervention groups.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and other complex needs.
  • Nurturing and teaching children of all abilities.

  • A strong knowledge of EYFS / Primary education.
  • An effective understanding / experience of working with children with SEND, including ADHD, ASD and ACEs.
  • An appreciation of the importance of SEMH within school.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A good grasp of safeguarding procedures.
  • An appreciation that all behaviour is communicating something and an ability to see beyond presenting behaviours and use a variety of strategies to support a child in crisis.
